So, who is KC Ryan?
 
I am an independent author and designer who writes in the thriller, science fiction, and fantasy genres.  My first book, Shifter: A Zie & Dax Novel was released in March, 2020. 

I was born on the bayous of South Louisiana to a huge extended family.  They taught me to value books, love, life, family, and food, though not necessarily in that order.  I have also had the great pleasure of living in Denver, Colorado (Go Broncos). I currently reside in Florida with the loves of my life, my husband and my son. 
 
After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Communications, I worked as a journalist for a year before discovering I prefer writing about British secret agents hunting dimension-shifting killers than the blue-ribbon winner at the town fair.  Since then, I have worked in education and am currently a school district administrator.  
 
Throughout all my ventures, I have treasured my childhood dream of becoming an author. I write every chance I get, and I am constantly finding inspiration for new worlds to build.  My goal as a writer is to create more than stories.  I want to create experiences for the reader that extend beyond the novel itself, giving them a chance to connect with my characters.
